Can i create fork or include source to my commercial product?

Feb 4, 2012 at 8:03 AM

I need write own LINQ to CAML IQueriable provider, and found that camlex.net may be very helpful.

I am not very good at license limitations, so i want authors to ask: can i use this project in my source?

hello devi_ous,

yes you can use Camlex in your project free of charge regardless is it commercial or open source. But you should retain all copyright texts in the source code as it is said tin the license:

"(C) If you distribute any portion of the software, you must retain all copyright, patent, trademark, and attribution notices that are present in the software".

Thanks for quick answer, sadomovalex!

My idea is adapt framework for IQuery can accept POCO as expression parameter instead of SPListItem..

I plan to write expression tree visitor to convert expression like

{i =>i.Title = "test" } to { i => Convert(i.get_Item("Title")) = "test" }

Can you suggest a better way?
